Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Finance Manager to supervise a team and oversee full accounting functions, month-end closing, and reporting. You will prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts and tax returns, and present monthly financials to management and committees.
The role demands strong leadership, regulatory knowledge and the ability to drive internal controls across procurement and financial processes. Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia are required.

To supervise a team of accounting/finance staff on full spectrum of daily accounting function and supervise day to day accounting operations
Handling full set of accounts and perform month end closing in a timely manner including reviewing the journal entries, inventory, fixed assets, invoicing, receipt, report preparation and variance analysis.
To prepare timely and accurate financial reports, annual budgeting, cash flow projections and forecasts including reparation monthly financial reports and year end audited financial reports
To present monthly financial reports to Committee Members/Management
Ensure timely and up to date monthly bank and other relevant GL reconciliations for accuracy in transaction recording and monitoring of bank balances
Ensure all financial transactions in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable are processed accurately, in timely manner and within prescribed timescales, including the monthly SST declaration and submission and e invoice compliance.
Prepare monthly and annual tax reporting, dealing with tax related issues and tax compliance in accordance to the regulations.
Ensure Internal controls and compliance to SOP in all procurement activities and keep track of expenditures and payments
To ensure compliance of SOP, accounting policies & control procedures, and to improve accounting and reporting systems
To liaise with both internal and external parties including financial institutions, auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, government bodies for statutory and legislative requirements.
Perform other ad hoc assignment and task as and when requested by management
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or MIA membership is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Finance Manager in a related field; audit experience will be an added advantage.
Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to support strategic business decisions
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, regulatory compliance, and implementation of internal controls.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work well in a team, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and committees.
Highly analytical, resourceful, organized, meticulous, responsible, and committed to meeting deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Working experience in similar industries will be an added advantage.
Positive attitude and strong teamwork orientation.
Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
