Job summary

GOLDEN SCOOP SDN BHD is seeking a cake decorator with hands-on experience in decorating ice cream cakes. The role focuses on producing high-quality finished products, managing decorating stations, and ensuring timely fulfillment of outlet and custom orders.

You will maintain design consistency, organize the decorating area, and help with stock, cleanliness, and adherence to FIFO procedures. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on training in cake decorating.
• Ability to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality of ice cream cake before making and for customized orders.
• Manage cake decorating stations, prepare icing and follow sanitation procedures.
• Prepare ordered quantity of ice cream cake for outlets and orders.
• Ensure end products match standard quality before delivery.
• Monitor and supervise other cake decorators’ work from time to time.
• Invent new cake designs and maintain stock and layout in the plant.
• Organize and clean decorating area, machinery and cold room.
• Practice FIFO for cake ingredients daily and manage inventory movement.

Job description

Responsible to use artistic and creative design skills to put the “icing on the cake” on our beautifully decorated cakes for our customers. To provide standardized quality of products to outlets and end users. Encourage cake decorators to meet orders and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality of ice cream before cake making, and quality of end product (ice cream cake) as requested by outlet and other customized orders.
• Managing cake decorating stations to include preparing icing and following all sanitation procedures.
• Prepare ordered quantity of ice cream cake by outlet and other customized orders.
• Ensure all end products (ice cream cake) match to standard quality before delivery.
• Monitor and supervise other cake decorators’ work from time to time.
• Responsible for quality, design and stock of ice cream cakes at plant.
• Ensure all products follows same design and recipes.
• Organize and clean cake decorating area, machinery and equipment and cold room walk in.
• Responsible to invent new design.
• Stocking and maintenance of product and product arrangements in plant according to quality and product standards, as well arrange them accordingly.
• Assist in other workstation if needed.
• Ensure FIFO for cake ingredients is practiced each day.
• Manage inventory movement diligently to avoid having discard and minimize scrap cost.
• Carry out any others and ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements and Skills

• Hands-on training experience. Preferably possess knowledge in cake decorating.
• Creative and artistic skills.
• Ability to motivate self and others to meet demands established by the schedule.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a large team.
• Ability to comply with workplace conduct standards.
• Ability to invent new designs.
• Has a good understanding of product knowledge.
• Good oral and written.

• Ability to work more than normal working hours when necessary.

Basic Salary starting from: RM2,400 - RM2,700
