Job summary

MindMerge Consulting in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to grow a global logistics footprint. You will identify new opportunities, win key accounts, and drive revenue across air, sea, road freight, and contract logistics.

You will develop strategic plans, manage RFQ responses, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in any discipline; with minimum 5 years’ in logistics, supply chain management or FMCG environment.
• Excellent track records in securing and developing key customers accounts.
• Strong hunter with the relevant established network and clientele.
• High level of customer service ability.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, collaboration, decision making, and organization skills.
• Able to champion new initiatives, change management and building teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, presentation, diplomacy and patience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business that is profitable to meet the department’s sales targets and KPIs.
• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to meet corporate goals.
• Manage and handle new RFQ requests and ensure RFQs are responded to and followed through in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain close business relationships with customers and potential customers.
• Maintain close working relationships with divisions and departments within the group.
• Negotiate contracts and coordinate all related activities to ensure project completion.
• Undertake cross-selling within existing customer base across airfreight, sea freight, road freight, value-added products and contract logistics.
• Coordinate project planning with various departments for resource allocation, scheduling, and cost control.
