Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Malaysia accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join Expert Concept Enterprise Sdn Bhd (CST Tires Malaysia) in a full-time capacity, based in Penang Island, Penang. This is a strategic position within our Financial Accounting & Reporting division, where you will play a crucial role in managing client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple accounts, driving revenue growth, and maintaining excellence in client service delivery. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business whilst advancing your career in the accounting and financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain relationships with key client accounts, ensuring consistent communication and high levels of client satisfaction
• Oversee the delivery of financial accounting and reporting services to assigned clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to clients, explaining complex financial information in clear and understandable terms
• Identify opportunities for upselling additional services and expanding existing client relationships
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of client deliverables
• Monitor client accounts for potential issues or discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed
• Develop and maintain comprehensive client documentation and case files
• Contribute to the development of new service offerings and business strategies
• Train and support junior account executives as required

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant with a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Proven track record of successful account management and client relationship building
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations relevant to Malaysia
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
