PEMBINAAN TAJRI SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Financial Accounting & Reporting team in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. You will manage client accounts and oversee accurate financial reporting and compliance to support client objectives.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and reconciliations, reviewing ledgers, tax returns, and coordinating with external auditors while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years in financial accounting or reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations.

About the role

PEMBINAAN TAJRI SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Financial Accounting & Reporting team. This is a full-time position based in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in managing client accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. As an Account Manager, you will be the key point of contact for our clients, overseeing their accounting needs and delivering high-quality financial services that support their business objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of client accounts and serving as the primary liaison between clients and the accounting team
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, accounts reconciliations, and ledger entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Monitoring client account activity, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Preparing tax returns, compliance documentation, and other financial reports required by regulatory bodies
• Conducting account audits and analyses to optimise client financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Communicating complex financial information to clients in a clear and understandable manner
• Maintaining detailed and organised client records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders on behalf of clients
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and is completed within agreed timelines
• Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures

What we’re looking for

• A professional qualification in accounting such as ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent recognised accounting qualification
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or a similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work efficiently with financial data
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify and correct errors in financial records
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively
• Professional demeanour and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
• Experience with payroll processing and GST compliance is advantageous
