Job summary

PERSOL Malaysia is seeking a capable freight forwarding professional to manage sea freight shipments from booking to delivery. You will handle enquiries, prepare quotations, liaise with shipping lines and customs, and support end-to-end logistics with the Sales and Operations teams.

The role requires 3-5 years in customer service or freight forwarding, with sea freight experience and knowledge of import/export processes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in customer service, operations or freight forwarding.
• Sea freight experience is required.
• Knowledge of import/export and customs clearance is an advantage.
• Experience in preparing quotations and handling freight/local charges.
• Able to manage customer enquiries and follow up with multiple parties.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries through WhatsApp, WeChat, email and other channels.
• Liaise with customers regarding shipment requirements, schedules and delivery arrangements.
• Prepare and provide freight and local handling quotations based on company costing.
• Coordinate sea freight shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Liaise with shipping lines, local vendors, customs and other relevant parties.
• Support customers with customs clearance and documentation.
• Coordinate shipment delivery to customers or warehouse.
• Follow up on shipment status and ensure timely fulfilment.
• Handle customer issues and provide timely updates and solutions.
• Work with Sales and Operations to ensure end-to-end service.
• Maintain proper shipment and customer records.
