Job summary

Multrans Global Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Customer Service Executive to join our freight forwarding team in Malaysia. You will handle import and export logistics, coordinate shipments, prepare documentation, and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.

This role requires at least a Diploma or higher, 5 years in freight forwarding or logistics, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in any field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Shipping or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of import/export logistics, shipment planning, shipping documentation, customs procedures, port operations and freight forwarding operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Import & Export freight forwarding operations, including Sea Freight and Air Freight shipments.
• Coordinate shipment planning, booking, documentation, billing and operational follow-up.
• Liaise closely with customers, shipping lines, airlines, customs, ports, hauliers, transporters, overseas agents and other related parties.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively update customers on shipment status, delays and operational issues.
• Ensure all customer enquiries and operational matters are responded to within the same working day.
• Handle customer requests, complaints and shipment exceptions professionally and provide appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient shipment execution.
• Prepare and compile the Daily Secured Jobs Report.
• Prepare the Weekly Customer Complaints Report, where applicable.
• Support the department in improving operational efficiency and customer service standards.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Higher Diploma / Graduate Diploma in any field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Shipping or a related industry.

Strong practical knowledge of:

Import & Export Logistics

Shipment Planning

Shipping Documentation

Customs Procedures

Port Operations

Freight Forwarding Operations

Previous experience dealing directly with Customs, shipping lines, airlines, ports, overseas agents and customers will be highly valued.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Able to work independently, manage multiple shipments and handle operational issues effectively.

Responsible, detail-oriented, organised and able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Good problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.

Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers, agents and business partners.

Candidates with experience at Senior Executive level in Freight Forwarding Customer Service / Operations will have an added advantage.
