Job summary

World Mode Malaysia, on behalf of a well-established Japanese multinational logistics company, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager/Assistant Sales Manager to lead business development and drive revenue.

You will develop new opportunities, manage key accounts, and negotiate quotes for airfreight, seafreight, trucking, and warehousing, while coordinating with operations to ensure customer satisfaction and growth in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Exposure to both air and sea freight.
• Mandarin proficiency is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in business development and sales negotiation.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify new opportunities.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
• Identify potential clients, understand their logistics requirements, and propose competitive freight forwarding solutions.
• Prepare and negotiate quotations for airfreight, seafreight, trucking, warehousing, and other logistics services.
• Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, transporters, co-loaders, NVOCCs, overseas offices, and global partners to support customer requirements.
• Coordinate import routing orders, shipping instructions, and related enquiries for air and sea shipments.
• Work closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth shipment coordination and high customer satisfaction.
• Manage key accounts, monitor sales performance, and work towards monthly and annual sales targets.
• Prepare sales reports, customer profiles, market intelligence updates, and debtor follow-ups.
• Identify market trends and new business opportunities to support the company's continued growth.

• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.
