Job summary

FM Global Logistics is seeking an ambitious Assistant Sales Manager (Air Freight) in Bayan Lepas, Penang, to drive new key account acquisition and grow air freight revenue. You will leverage your industry network to win high-value customers and expand our air freight and freight forwarding footprint.

In this role you will build tailored proposals, negotiate rates and solutions, and coordinate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in logistics or related field.
• Proven network and track record in air freight / freight forwarding.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

FM Global Logistics is seeking a well-connected and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager (Air Freight) to drive new key account acquisition and grow our air freight business. The role focuses on securing high-value accounts, leveraging industry relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the air freight and freight forwarding ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new key accounts within the air freight industry.
• Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-value, long-term customers.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and existing clients.
• Prepare tailored proposals, negotiate rates and develop logistics solutions for prospective accounts.
• Monitor air freight market trends, capacity, rates and competitor activities.
• Work closely with Operations and Customer Service to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Manage the business development pipeline and track key account wins and revenue contribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven track record and strong network within the air freight / freight forwarding industry.
• Demonstrated success in key account acquisition and business development within logistics or freight.
• Familiarity with the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) industry is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-driven, target-oriented and comfortable independently developing new business.
