Job summary

Wah Seng (1986) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Executive with a passion for food who understands kitchen operations and enjoys interacting with people. You don’t need prior sales experience if you have pastry or culinary expertise and a desire to develop a commercial career in foodservice.

You will nurture relationships with chefs, restaurants, cafés etc., learn about menus and operations, and introduce products and solutions. This role involves travel within Ipoh and Perak and targets achievement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in culinary arts, pastry & baking, food science, hospitality, business, marketing or related field.
• Experience in a professional kitchen is highly valued.
• B2B sales experience is an advantage, but not essential for candidates with strong culinary background.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Own transport is required.
• Willing to travel within Ipoh and Perak when required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with chefs, bakers, restaurants, cafés, hotels and other foodservice customers.
• Understand customers' menus, operations and challenges, and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Introduce customers to new ingredients, products and equipment relevant to their businesses.
• Manage existing accounts while developing new customer relationships.
• Work with suppliers and culinary partners on product demonstrations, workshops and customer events.
• Assist with product trials, applications and demonstrations where relevant.
• Achieve monthly sales and collection targets.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on orders and ensure timely payments.
• Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, operations and finance teams.
• Keep up to date with food trends, products and developments in the industry.

Are you from a culinary, pastry or baking background and interested in taking your industry knowledge beyond the kitchen?

We are looking for a Sales Executive who enjoys food, understands how professional kitchens work, and likes interacting with people.

You don't necessarily need to come from sales. If you have experience in pastry, baking, culinary arts or foodservice and are interested in developing a commercial career, we'd like to hear from you.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with chefs, bakers, restaurants, cafés, hotels and other foodservice customers

Preferred Background

• Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry & Baking, Food Science, Hospitality, Business, Marketing or a related field
• Experience in a professional kitchen, pastry kitchen, bakery, café or hotel is highly valued
• Previous B2B sales or foodservice experience is an advantage, but not essential for candidates with a strong culinary or pastry background
• Fresh graduates with relevant culinary or pastry qualifications are welcome to apply
• Own transport is required
• Willing to travel within Ipoh and other areas of Perak when required
