Job summary

Optimus Distributor (M) Sdn Bhd in Subang Jaya seeks a driven Sales Engineer to combine technical know-how with sales acumen to deliver valve and flow-control solutions across industries. You will develop new business, manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to order closing, and tailor technical proposals and quotations for customers including consultants, contractors, and plant owners.

Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers, you’ll ensure customer requirements are met on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience with valves, actuators or flow-control systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities by identifying customers, projects, industries and revenue streams.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to order closing.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend valve, actuator and flow-control solutions.
• Conduct market research on projects, competitors, market trends and expansion opportunities.
• Build relationships with plant owners, end users, consultants, EPC contractors, system integrators, distributors and engineering companies.
• Develop relationships with consultants and stakeholders to obtain consideration or specifications for upcoming projects.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, commercial quotations, product presentations and solution recommendations.
• Develop and execute sales plans and account strategies to achieve targets and growth.
• Maintain regular communication with existing customers to strengthen relationships and uncover future requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and principals to meet technical, commercial and delivery expectations.
