About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager in Flooring and Tiles Industry to join our team in Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in driving our sales performance and business growth within the flooring and tiles market. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and leading efforts to expand our market share. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's success whilst working in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
• Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients within the flooring and tiles sector
• Lead and motivate the sales team, providing guidance, coaching and support to drive performance
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers
• Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with clients to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences to inform sales strategy
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and reports, providing regular updates to senior management
• Collaborate with other departments including marketing, operations and logistics to ensure seamless service delivery
• Attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to promote products and build business relationships

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of at least 5 years in sales management, preferably within the flooring and tiles industry or related sectors
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
• Excellent knowledge of flooring and tiles products, materials, specifications and industry standards
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and manage key accounts
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop team members
• Sound understanding of sales processes, CRM systems and sales analytics
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop effective business plans and sales strategies
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are advantageous
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, sales, commerce or a related field is preferred
