Job summary

Poh Kong Holdings Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Retail Operations Executive to drive efficiency across its store network and enhance performance. You will lead audits, analyze performance data, and manage projects to improve productivity and compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating licences, OSHA compliance, security arrangements, and vendor management. You will work with branches and central teams to implement improvements and monitor results, traveling to branches as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business, Management or related fields.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail operations.
• Experience in store operations, audit, reporting or project management is an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to travel to branches.

Job description

We’re looking for a Retail Operations Executive to join our team. If you’re passionate about retail operations, performance improvement, project management, compliance, and productivity, we’d love to hear from you.

1. Store Audit & Operations (Core)

Conduct regular store visits and audits to identify operational gaps, ensure compliance with standards, and follow up on corrective actions.

Work with branches and relevant departments to resolve operational issues and implement improvements.

2. Reporting & Performance Analysis

Analyze store performance and operational data to identify improvement areas and recommend appropriate action plans.

Prepare regular performance reports and management updates and monitor action plan progress and results.

3. Project Management & Retail Productivity

Research new tools, technology and processes to identify opportunities to improve retail productivity and operational efficiency.

Lead improvement projects, coordinate with relevant departments and vendors, and monitor project progress, risks and outcomes.

4. Admin, Compliance & Security

Manage business, hostel and regulatory licenses and renewals, ensuring all staff hostels are properly registered and licensed.

Coordinate OSHA requirements and meetings and ensure the OSH-C Coordinator complies with applicable regulations.

Coordinate security guard arrangements for stores, roadshows and events, including vendor deployment, service issues and invoicing.

Monitor security vendor performance against agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.

Qualifications
