Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a production environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact with operation colleagues to influence safety awareness.
• Deliver accurate data management and prepare reports for performance improvement.
• Coordinate support for SHEQ regulator inspections.
• Conduct regular SHEQ training relevant to local operation.

Job Description

We are searching for a Quality, Environment, Health & Safety Specialist to join our Johor plant, where we manufacture intermediate bulk containers. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will perform risk assessments for processes and new equipment and submit corrective action solutions.

Your role will assist in safety and quality activities and improvement projects, keep track of regulatory changes, and train and coach colleagues on EH&S.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact with operation colleagues to positively influence plant’s Quality, Environmental Health and Safety awareness and culture.
• Deliver accurate data management and prepare routine and special reports, scorecards and analysis for local facility to improve performance through trending and action planning.
• Communicate SHEQ regulatory and policy obligations to management and operations.
• Coordinate support and prepare for SHEQ regulator inspections and/or inquiries.
• Arrange and/or conduct regular SHEQ training on topics and content relevant to local operation.
• Utilize existing tools and protocols for tracking and demonstrating SHEQ compliance.
• Report any imminent threat to human health or environment to regional management and operations as appropriate.
• Purchase safety equipment and follow safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in a production environment.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations.
• Ability to identify unsafe work practices and recognize processes subject to safety/environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to train and coach colleagues on EH&S issues.
• Experience with ISO 9001, FSSC 22 000 a plus.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills in English and Malay.
