Job summary

Syarikat Sin Kwang Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality control plans for injection moulding processes. You will conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.

Monitor processes using SPC, perform CAPA, analyze production data, and collaborate with design, engineering and production teams to meet quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in engineering or equivalent, with manufacturing experience.
• Experience in quality engineering or QA in injection moulding is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Develop and implement quality control plans for injection moulding processes.

Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

Monitor injection moulding processes to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.

Use statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze production data and ensure consistent quality.

Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related problems.

Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and compliance reports.

Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.

Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure that product specifications and quality requirements are met.

Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding quality expectations and performance.

Provide training to production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.

Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards, such as ISO and ASTM.

Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to quality management.

Evaluate supplier quality performance and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Conduct audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Utilize lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to drive quality improvements.

Qualification & Requirements

Degree / Diploma in any engineering field or minimum 3 years engineering work experience in manufacturing work environment.

Experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within the injection moulding industry.

Familiarity with quality control methodologies, tools, and standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
