Job summary

Jai Hee Polymer Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Injection Moulding Technician to set and optimize molding process parameters and ensure product quality in a manufacturing setting.

You will monitor production performance, identify defects, and perform efficient mould changeovers while maintaining traceability of settings and data. The role involves supporting continuous improvement and collaborating with Production and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Polymer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Plastic Injection Molding operations.
• Knowledge in robotic systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow standard operating procedures.
• Good problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and optimize molding process parameters (temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, cooling time) per product specs.
• Monitor production performance and product quality; identify and resolve molding defects (flash, short shots, warpage, sink marks).
• Perform mould changeovers efficiently with minimal downtime.
• Record and maintain production data, machine settings, and process parameters for traceability.
• Support process improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve quality.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality departments to resolve technical issues and achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, work instructions, and quality management system.

Job description

Senior Injection Moulding Technician responsible for setting and optimizing molding process parameters and ensuring product quality in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

Set and optimize molding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, and cooling time, according to product specifications and process requirements

Monitor production performance and product quality, and promptly identify, analyze, and resolve molding defects such as flash, short shots, warpage, sink marks, and other process abnormalities

Perform mould changeovers efficiently with minimal downtime

Record and maintain accurate production data, machine settings, and process parameters for traceability and continuous improvement purposes

Support process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce scrap rates, and improve product quality

Coordinate with Production and Quality departments to resolve technical issues and achieve production targets

Ensure compliance with company safety regulations, work instructions, and quality management system requirements

About you

Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Polymer Engineering or related field

Minimum 5 years of working experience in Plastic Injection Molding operations

Knowledge in "Robotic System" is an advantage

Ability to read work instructions and follow standard operating procedures
