Responsibilities

Develop and optimize injection molding processes for high-quality plastic components.
Inspect molds and machines before testing; conduct mold testing per project requirements.
Coordinate with engineers to prepare testing reports and address defects.
Collaborate with project engineers and toolmakers on testing outcomes and issues.
Suggest improvements to reduce cycle time, minimize part rejection, and boost production efficiency.
Provide guidance and training to supervisors/technicians; support shift changes as needed.

Job description

Responsible to developing and optimizing injection molding processes to produce high-quality plastic components. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production and address any technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

Inspection of mold and machine before testing.
Responsible on mold testing for new and existing projects.
Carry out mold testing based on customer requirements, MSDS and Window Study.
Work with engineers to provide the testing report.
Work with project engineers and tool maker regarding any testing outcome including the defects/issues during mold testing.
Brainstorming with team for improvement of cycle time, part rejection and daily production activities.
Responsible to buy off tooling (internal and external).
Do troubleshooting and improvement process in order to enhance the production efficiency.
Responsible to guide and train supervisor/technician for new and existing projects to ensure production under control.
Able to rotate shift as per order by management.

About you

Certificate/Diploma/Degree/Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience in manufacturing or related field.
Excellent understanding of injection moulding processes.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High commitment to work quality, accuracy, and meeting timelines.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages are an added advantage).
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Basic in Microsoft for reporting and documentation purpose.
