Job summary

CPI (KL) Sdn. Bhd. invites a process engineer with a background in mechanical/manufacturing engineering to lead process development for injection moulding. You will document processes, monitor equipment, and mentor operators while driving safety and efficiency improvements.

The role requires hands-on capability to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions, with involvement in continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process documentation for material handler clarity
• Monitor and report issues with material handling and molding equipment
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to material handler and technician
• Work independently on new process development and troubleshooting
• Support safety, environmental, and ergonomics initiatives
• Investigate and resolve process issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain records and generate performance reports for management
• Participate in continuous improvement and cross-functional projects

Job description

Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring that processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for material handler.

Monitor and report issues with material and material handling equipment.

Monitor and report issues with and moulding equipment.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to material handler and technician.

Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues.

Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.

Investigate and resolve process issues, including defects, inconsistencies, and equipment malfunctions. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Maintain accurate records of process parameters, material specifications, equipment maintenance, and quality control data. Generate reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics, improvement initiatives, and recommendations to management.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams to drive innovation, cost reduction, and process optimization throughout the organization.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or any equivalent education OR

Have working experience more than 3 years in manufacturing injection moulding (plastic).

Familiar with Moulding defect, plastic injection moulding process control and lean six sigma.
