Job summary

GC Packaging in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented QA Executive to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality management system. You will help ensure all products meet customer and regulatory requirements and sustain high-quality standards across departments.

The role requires 2–5 years of QA/QC experience in food packaging or plastics, familiarity with ISO, FSSC, and regulatory standards for food contact materials, and proficiency in QA documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years QA/QC experience in food packaging or plastics.
• Familiar with ISO, FSSC, and regulatory standards for food contact materials.
• Knowledge of PET/PP/OPs and converting processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce quality standards based on ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000.
• Monitor and review quality policies; support continuous improvement.
• Develop QA plans with hazard analyses and monitoring procedures.
• Update QMS documentation including SOPs, WI, and inspection reports.
• Prepare for internal and external audits by regulators and customers.
• Supervise and train QC team to meet quality targets.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Executive to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of our quality management system. The ideal candidates will assist the Assistant QA Manager in ensuring all products/services meet customer and regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards across all departments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support manager and ensure and maintain company quality standards based on FSSC22000, ISO22000, ISO9001 and etc.
• Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses and monitoring procedures.
• Assist manager to maintain and update QMS documentation and preparation including SOPs, WI, inspection reports, corrective action follow-ups, training materials and etc.
• Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits including customer, regulatory, certification bodies.
• Maintains customer standards and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits.
• Conduct first piece inspection for new mold and sample preparation.
• Support production and operations in resolving quality issues in real-time.
• Analyse non-conforming related to quality and contamination issue for process improvement and make correction actions.
• Raise ECN based on changes.
• Supervise and trains QC team and ensure that quality standards are met.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years QA/QC experience in food packaging or plastic manufacturing will be preferred.
• Familiar with methodologies of quality assurance and ISO, FSSC or regulatory standards related to food contact materials.
• Knowledge of plastic materials (e.g., PET, PP, OPS) and converting processes (e.g., extrusion, thermoforming, printing) is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QA documentation systems.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Candidate at Executive level or Fresh Graduate is encouraged to apply.
