Job summary

Dynapack Asia is seeking an experienced QA leader to oversee the QA department in our Negeri Sembilan operations. You will monitor QA system execution, set quality standards, and ensure production meets company and customer specifications.

The role requires 5–8 years in Quality Assurance/Control, with plastics production experience preferred. You will drive continuous improvement, lead audits, coach the QA team, manage budgets, and report on KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science, or relevant technical discipline.
• 5–8 years of QA/QC experience, plastics production preferred.
• Strong QA/QMS knowledge and proficiency with testing, auditing and quality tools.
• Excellent communication in English and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Overall in-charge of the QA department, monitoring QA system execution and establishing new quality systems.
• Set quality standards, formulate specifications for new projects, ensure production meets specs.
• Review non-conforming or defective products for disposition.
• Attend customer complaints, lead quality events, and cooperate with sourcing for supplier audits.
• Establish and lead continuous improvement programs (including 5S) and drive action across the organization.
• Coach and mentor the QA team, identify training needs, and manage staff development.
• Plan annually, align QA activity plans, and manage budgets with target zero customer complaints.
• Follow up on QMS/process audits, track KPIs, and generate QA reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned and provide solutions through designated channels.

• Overall in-charge of the QA department, monitoring QA system execution, and establishing new quality systems in new plants/business units.
• Set quality standards, formulate general specifications for new projects, and ensure production meets company and customer specifications.
• Review, systematically analyze, and hold authority for the disposition of non-conforming or defective products.
• Attend to customer complaints, lead quality events, align quality specifications with customers, and cooperate with sourcing for supplier audits.
• Establish and lead continuous improvement programs (including 5S) and suggest improvement actions across the organization.
• Provide motivation and discipline, coach and mentor the QA team, and review their skill sets and productivity.
• Identify training needs for staff and execute people development aligned with the company's strategic plan.
• Establish annual planning, align quality activity plans, and manage budgets (including targeting zero customer complaints).
• Follow up on QMS and process audits, track Key Performance Indicators, and generate QA reports.
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time and provide solutions through designated channels.

Requirement

• Must be a Malaysian citizen or hold permanent residency.
• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Science, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Have 5 - 8 years of working experience in Quality Assurance and Control (experience in plastic manufacturing is a plus).
• Solid understanding of Plastics Production, Process Quality, and QMS, with proficiency in complaint handling, internal auditing, testing, calibration labs, and standard quality tools.
• Strong managerial, analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English alongside computer literacy.
