Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage the end-to-end procurement process for the hotel, from requisitions to delivery, while negotiating terms with suppliers and maintaining accurate records.

Based in Kota Kinabalu, this full-time role collaborates with department heads to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of items, while exploring cost-saving opportunities and expanding the supplier base.

About the role

As a Purchasing Officer at Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services for the hotel. This full-time position is based in Kota Kinabalu and will involve managing the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from raising purchase requisitions to placing orders and tracking deliveries
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms for the hotel
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of required items
• Identify and research new suppliers to expand the hotel's vendor base and explore cost‑saving opportunities

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
