Job summary

JVG Bina Sdn. Bhd., Penang-based property construction company, seeks a procurement professional to drive continuous process improvement and optimise procurement systems.

The role requires coordinating supplier invoices, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies while supporting construction projects on Penang Island and Mainland. Candidates with a degree in procurement or related field, five years’ experience in construction purchasing, and Autocount expertise are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in relevant field.
• Experience in purchasing construction materials is an added advantage.
• Preferably at least five years of relevant procurement experience.
• Experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in Autocount is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, pricing comparison, and material sourcing.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to learn.

• Implementation of continuous process improvement and the improvement of the Procurement process and System
• Execute required Procurement processes towards achieving departmental KPIs and objectives
• Supervise the preparation of purchasing documentations/ reports including validation of suppliers' invoices
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Effective negotiation co-ordination skills, contract and cost reduction
• Conduct procurement audit exercises to ensure the implementation of procurement best practices
• Review and develop practical procedures and work processes to support effective implementation of a structured procurement system
