HOMA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD is seeking a meticulous Purchasing Executive based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre to support manufacturing and logistics operations. The role is full-time, focused on sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management to drive efficiency and cost savings.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in business or supply chain, with 1-3 years in purchasing. Proficiency in SAP/ERP and Excel is preferred, and strong communication in Mandarin, Malay, and English

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or related role within manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control.
• Proficiency in procurement management systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to join our team at HOMA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD. Based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, this is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations. As a Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing, procuring and managing materials and services that are essential to our business operations. This role is central to ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What you'll be doing

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors to meet organisational requirements
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
• Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money
• Monitoring and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services
• Maintaining accurate records of purchase transactions, invoices and supplier communications
• Liaising with internal departments to understand procurement needs and requirements
• Conducting regular supplier performance evaluations and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Assisting in inventory management and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Handling procurement documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Supporting the preparation of procurement reports and providing insights on spending trends and supplier performance

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or a related role within the manufacturing or logistics industry
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control principles
• Proficiency in using procurement management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all procurement transactions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in procurement is advantageous
• Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred
• Able to communicate with Mandarin, Malay and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
