Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics/material engineering or supply chain management; 2 years procurement/purchasing experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all procurement/purchasing activities and administrative tasks.
• Source for suppliers, RFQ, price negotiations, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Manage pricing updates in Excel and ERP; track orders and delivery status.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and optimal pricing.
• Generate and maintain purchase reports and purchasing history in ERP.

Purchasing Executive (Based in Kota Kemuning)

We are seeking an agile and effective Purchasing Executive to strengthen our procurement and purchasing function as we expand to serve more customers globally. The ideal candidate should be commercially astute and skilled in securing cost savings and improving lead times without compromising quality. The candidate should also be meticulous and proficient in using Excel and ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Undertake all procurement/purchasing activities and administrative tasks.
• Involved in Procurement activities such as sourcing activities, request for quotation, conducting and evaluating supplier performance, Engineering Change Notice (ECN), quality, etc.
• Work closely with the supplier for enquiries, price negotiation, contracts, and credit terms.
• Liaise with the supplier if any discrepancies arise regarding pricing, quality, etc.
• Source for new alternative suppliers for price efficiency, cost saving, and better quality.
• Undertake all pricing updates in Microsoft Excel and the ERP system.
• To send and follow up on enquiries to meet procurement deadlines.
• You will be trained to independently source mechanical and electronic parts.
• Involved in Purchasing activities.
• Process purchase orders.
• Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order-to-order materials, goods, and supplies.
• Updating the status of the delivery date in ERP and reviewing deliveries against the orders.
• Responsible for delivering overseas suppliers’ shipments to customers.
• Track the status of an order.
• Interact with the suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
• Meet with vendors to negotiate on quotation, improved pricing, product quality, and delivery.
• Generate and maintain all purchase reports and purchasing history on ERP.
• Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• To work closely with other departments within the Organization on all matters about customer - suppliers enquiries.
• Involved in Cost Management and Costing Calculation.
• Review inventories and order as required.
• Undertake all filing as required.
• Any ad-hoc task required from time to time.

People Requirements

• Knowledge in procurement/purchasing and a degree/diploma in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics/material engineering or supply chain management or 2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing in manufacturing/automation industries will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good communication, negotiation skills and fast learner.
• Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage for effective communication with a diverse supplier base.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Willing to work at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam.
