Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement activities, evaluate suppliers, and ensure timely PO processing. The role requires strong negotiation skills and fluency in multiple languages to liaise with international suppliers.

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior internship or 1 year of procurement experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin/Chinese to liaise with multilingual/overseas suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with ERP or inventory systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers to secure competitive pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and issue Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with vendors to monitor delivery statuses, resolve shipment delays, and handle discrepancies or defective goods.
• Collaborate closely with the warehouse, inventory, and finance teams to reconcile invoices, delivery orders, and stock levels.
• Maintain organized procurement records, supplier databases, and cost comparison reports.
• Assist in evaluating vendor performance and conducting periodic price reviews.
