Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to source piping materials, consumables, tools, and services. You will negotiate favorable pricing, process purchase orders quickly, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure on-time delivery to site.

Responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, maintaining procurement records, and verifying deliveries against orders while addressing discrepancies and exploring cost-reduction opportunities.

• Experience in achieving cost savings or favourable pricing on purchase orders.
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure timely delivery to sites.
• Strong emphasis on maintaining procurement records and supplier documentation.

Source, negotiate, and procure piping materials, consumables, tools, and services, achieving cost savings or favourable pricing on at least 95% of purchase orders through negotiation/comparison.

Process and issue purchase orders within 3 working days of approved requisition, achieving at least 90% on-time issuance.

Coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure piping materials and consumables are procured and delivered on time to site, keeping stockout-caused downtime below 5%.

Maintain and evaluate at least 90% of key suppliers against quality, price, and delivery performance criteria; address underperforming suppliers within 1 month of issue identification.

Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors to ensure best value for money while meeting quality and delivery requirements.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, purchase orders, delivery orders, and supplier documentation.

Liaise with the Supervisor, Project Coordinator, and Quantity Surveyor to understand site material requirements and project timelines.

Monitor stock levels of common consumables/materials and proactively raise purchase requisitions to avoid site delays.

Verify goods received against purchase orders and delivery orders, and escalate any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.

Support cost-reduction initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers, bulk purchase opportunities, or process efficiencies.
