Job summary

RMS MARINE & OFFSHORE SERVICE PTE. LTD. in Malaysia seeks a Purchasing Executive to manage daily inventory orders and ensure timely replenishment while securing competitive pricing from suppliers. The role requires strong communication and teamwork to support sales and delivery processes.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or higher, at least two years of related experience, and proficiency in English. Mandarin is an advantage for regional coordination and customer interactions.

• Responsible for daily inventory order operations and timely replenishment.
• Source for best Malaysia/Singapore market price to maintain competitive price and quality.
• Complete daily purchase orders on time and completely, avoid returns or complaints, maximize profit without compromising quality.
• Final check of high-volume quotations to secure high order rate and provide timely, competitive cost.
• Coordinate with warehouse and Operation Department for delivery arrangements.
• Analyze the Rejected Item report and provide feedback to quotation team or sales to reduce rejection rates.

Job description

This position is responsible for regional customer’s purchasing to fulfil order, in the aim of improving service efficiency by swift and accurate quotation by good communication. It requires the personnel work with high sense of responsibility and reliable service.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for daily inventory order operations and timely replenishment.
• Responsible to source for best Malaysia/Singapore market price to maintain the competitive price and quality.
• Complete the daily purchase order in time & completely, avoid return or any complaint from customer, produce the maximum profit without compromising quality.
• Responsible for final check of high-volume quotation to secure high order rate, offer timely and competitive cost for quotation center’ and urgent support for sales.
• Coordinate with warehouse and Operation Department for delivery arrangement.
• Analyze the Rejected Item report, feedback to quotation team or sales to decrease the rejected item rate in next supply.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

Experiences:

• Have experience coordinating handling food products / suppliers.
• 2 years and above working experience.
• Good communication skills and team-work awareness, strong sense of responsibility
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good in English speaking, listening, writing and reading (Mandarin speaker would be advantage)
• Act as a Change Management expert and enabler on various change across the busin
