Sakata Inx (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a diligent Purchasing Cum Shipping Executive in Shah Alam, Selangor to support procurement and logistics operations, including DO/PR processing, PO creation, supplier coordination, samples, and customs reporting. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in purchasing, shipping or logistics, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP Business One or SAP HANA.

About the role

Sakata Inx (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturing company in the printing and packaging industry, is seeking a skilled and organized Purchasing Cum Shipping Executive to join their team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time position is a crucial support role that will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's procurement and logistics functions.

What you'll be doing

1. Purchasing

DO & PR: Process DO and PR received from Warehouse.

Data Entry: Update DO and PR details in the PO Master and SAP.

PO Preparation: Check prices, prepare POs, and handle C1/C3 SST letters.

PO Approval: Send POs for management approval and email approved POs to suppliers.

Sample Handling: Receive and send product samples to R&D.

Customs Report: Prepare and submit customs reports every 3 months.

2. Import Process

Document Follow-Up: Check emails and follow up on shipping documents with forwarders.

Forwarder Coordination: Coordinate with sea, air, and Thailand-Malaysia forwarders.

Document Filing: Keep shipping documents and share them with Warehouse and Accounts.

Import Records: Update and maintain import records.

3. Export Process

Order & Booking: Receive SO/PO, check the schedule, and book containers.

Export Documents: Prepare invoices and packing lists.

Permit & COO: Apply for MAQIS (ESBO) and arrange COO endorsement from FMM.

Document Delivery: Send original shipping documents to the exporter.

Export Records: Update and maintain export records.

What we're looking for

At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing, shipping or logistics role, ideally within the manufacturing industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders

Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative to improve processes

Knowledge of international shipping procedures and documentation requirements

Experience with SAP Business One and SAP HANA is an advantage
