Job summary

Sunway Velocity Hotel Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Purchasing cum Halal Executive to support the Purchasing Manager in daily purchasing operations and sourcing for the hotel. The role also oversees Halal administration and participates in internal audits to ensure compliance with Halal standards.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Finance, Procurement, or related field, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and strong integrity, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Finance, Procurement, or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, finance, halal compliance or hotel operations.
• Basic knowledge of Malaysia Halal Compliance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with accurate records and documentation.

The main responsibility of a Purchasing cum Halal Executive is to assist Purchasing Manager in the daily purchasing operation and sourcing works in accordance to the guideline provided by SIHR and Group Procurement and directly reports to Purchasing Manager, dotted line to Cluster Senior Finance Manager. Also overseeing the administrative Halal work for Sunway Velocity Hotel and does internal audit for halal in the hotel from time to time to ensure compliance with Halal standards.

Skills, Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Diploma in Finance, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience; experience in purchasing, procurement, finance, halal compliance or hotel operations will be an added advantage.
• Proficient or at least have basic knowledge on Malaysia Halal Compliance
• High level of integrity, maturity, professionalism, and a pleasant personality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.
