Job summary

TRIPPAL HOLIDAY SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Halal Compliance Specialist to oversee Halal standards across the company.

You will implement Halal policies, conduct audits, liaise with certification bodies, and train staff to ensure ongoing compliance and accurate Halal labeling on travel packages.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
• Understanding of Halal certification processes and regulations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of Halal compliance policies and procedures within the company, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify Halal compliance across all company operations and services, identifying any non-compliance issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Liaise with external Halal certification bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure all necessary certifications and approvals are obtained and maintained.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on Halal principles and compliance requirements, fostering a culture of Halal awareness throughout the organization.
• Monitor changes in Halal regulations and industry best practices, proactively updating internal policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
• Investigate and resolve any Halal-related issues or customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective solutions are implemented.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Halal compliance, including audit reports, certifications, and training materials.
• Support the sales and marketing teams by providing accurate information on the Halal status of travel packages and services.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Halal compliance management.
