Job summary

Seafood Island Malaysia is seeking a Halal Executive to oversee Halal compliance, food hygiene and safety across our operations in Malaysia. You will manage Halal certification, monitor supplier and product compliance, and lead hygiene inspections.

The role includes coordinating audits, maintaining records and training staff on Halal standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication abilities and teamwork across departments.
• Strong documentation and filing skills for Halal and hygiene records.
• Familiarity with Halal certification and food hygiene requirements.
• Ability to conduct inspections and follow up on issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and follow up on corrective actions.

• Assist with Halal audits, inspections and certification renewals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and relevant departments on Halal and hygiene matters.
• Conduct staff briefings/training on Halal and hygiene requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant JAKIM and food safety requirements.
• Prepare reports and documentation when required.

Good communication skills and able to work with different departments.

Able to conduct inspections and follow up on issues.
