Job summary

Dbasix Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Purchaser to join our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations in Johor. This full-time role focuses on sourcing, negotiating and procuring materials to support production and operations.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimise costs, manage supplier relationships and uphold quality and delivery standards in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement in manufacturing/logistics.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors that meet company standards for quality, cost, and delivery
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to secure competitive pricing whilst maintaining quality and service standards
• Process purchase orders and manage the procurement cycle from requisition to receipt and invoice verification
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability without excess holding costs
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any discrepancies or issues
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, expenses, and supplier performance metrics
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to understand procurement needs and requirements
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes in a professional and timely manner

We are seeking a Purchaser to join Dbasix Malaysia Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis.

This is a pivotal role within our Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics operations, based in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor.

As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services that are essential to our business operations.

Your strategic procurement decisions will directly impact our operational efficiency, cost management, and supply chain reliability.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within a manufacturing, transport, or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and supply chain principles
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers
• Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to analyse costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and maintaining records
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
• Preferred experience: familiarity with logistics and transport sector procurement practices
