Job summary

Dbasix Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a full-time Purchaser based in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor, to source, negotiate, and procure materials and services critical to operations. The role supports manufacturing, transport, and logistics with cross-functional collaboration and a focus on cost efficiency and supplier reliability.

You will manage procurement cycles, evaluate suppliers, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies while contributing to supply chain improvement and operational success.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within manufacturing/logistics environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and supply chain principles.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build positive relationships with suppliers.
• Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors meeting quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements for competitive pricing while maintaining quality and service.
• Process purchase orders and manage the procurement cycle from requisition to receipt and invoice verification.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to optimize stock with minimal holding costs.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier options.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies.
• Maintain records of purchases, expenses, and supplier performance metrics.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to understand procurement needs.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes professionally and timely.
