Job summary

Dbasix Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a full-time Purchaser based in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor, to source, negotiate, and procure materials and services critical to operations. The role supports manufacturing, transport, and logistics with cross-functional collaboration and a focus on cost efficiency and supplier reliability.

You will manage procurement cycles, evaluate suppliers, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies while contributing to supply chain improvement and operational success.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within manufacturing/logistics environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and supply chain principles.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build positive relationships with suppliers.
• Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors meeting quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements for competitive pricing while maintaining quality and service.
• Process purchase orders and manage the procurement cycle from requisition to receipt and invoice verification.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to optimize stock with minimal holding costs.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier options.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies.
• Maintain records of purchases, expenses, and supplier performance metrics.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to understand procurement needs.

About the role

We are seeking a Purchaser to join Dbasix Malaysia Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role within our Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics operations, based in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services that are essential to our business operations. Your strategic procurement decisions will directly impact our operational efficiency, cost management, and supply chain reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company's continued growth and success in a dynamic industry.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors that meet company standards for quality, cost, and delivery

• Preferred experience: familiarity with logistics and transport sector procurement practices
