Job summary

Dbasix Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Purchaser to join our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations in Johor. This full-time role focuses on sourcing, negotiating and procuring materials to support production and operations.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimise costs, manage supplier relationships and uphold quality and delivery standards in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement in manufacturing/logistics.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors that meet company standards for quality, cost, and delivery
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to secure competitive pricing whilst maintaining quality and service standards
• Process purchase orders and manage the procurement cycle from requisition to receipt and invoice verification
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability without excess holding costs
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any discrepancies or issues
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, expenses, and supplier performance metrics
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to understand procurement needs and requirements
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes in a professional and timely manner
