We are looking for a Purchasing Executive to support the organisation's procurement activities, covering both commodity and non-commodity purchases. The role will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, evaluating quotations, negotiating costs, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support business operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, local and overseas suppliers, forwarding agents, government authorities, and operational teams to ensure procurement activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company requirements.
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from market research and supplier sourcing to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up.
Source, evaluate and develop suitable suppliers for required materials, products and services.
Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement efficiency.
Maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers and monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, delivery and service.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and support effective procurement planning and decision-making.
Support the centralisation of procurement activities to ensure purchases are managed efficiently and in accordance with procurement policies.
Coordinate with suppliers and forwarding agents on shipping and customs clearance documentation to ensure timely arrival of imported goods.
Liaise with relevant government authorities, local and overseas suppliers, forwarding agents and operational teams for the clearance and delivery of imported machinery, spare parts and other required materials.
Monitor purchasing and inventory-related activities to ensure materials are available when required.
Prepare periodic purchasing and procurement reports for management review.
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with established company policies, procedures and requirements.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by Management from time to time.
Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement.
Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, price negotiation and purchase order management.
Experience dealing with local and overseas suppliers will be an advantage.
Familiarity with import documentation, customs clearance and forwarding processes is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using ERP or procurement systems will be an advantage.
Exposure to end-to-end procurement and supplier management.
