Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a qualified Procurement Specialist to manage supplier sourcing, purchase order issuance, and shipment coordination. The role emphasizes accuracy in inventory control and timely delivery, with experience in shipping and import/export procedures advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in procurement or logistics within a manufacturing or precision engineering setting, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and NAVISION.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Familiar with purchasing, inventory control, shipping and warehouse processes.
• Experience in sourcing materials, components and basic knowledge of import/export procedures is an advantage.
• Good negotiation, communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel and experience with ERP systems - NAVISION is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers, compare quotations and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders, monitor delivery, follow up on urgent, delayed or outstanding orders and coordinate with suppliers on shortages, quality issues and replacements.
• Coordinate the receiving, checking, labelling and proper storage of materials and finished products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock checks.
• Coordinate local and international shipments with freight forwarders and couriers.
• Prepare relevant shipping and delivery documents and monitor shipment status.
• Arrange deliveries according to customer and production schedules and ensure products are properly packed for shipment.
• Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
