Job summary

Makna Setia Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated PROTÉGÉ Procurement Executive to support our procurement for construction projects. You will assist in sourcing materials, coordinate with suppliers, process purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery to project sites.

The role requires a bachelor’s or diploma in procurement or related fields, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to travel to project sites if needed. This is a full-time on-site position in Malaysia.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PROTÉGÉ Procurement Executive to support the procurement functions of our construction projects. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for construction materials and services.

Support the procurement team in obtaining quotations, preparing comparison analyses, and recommending suitable suppliers.

Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documentation.

Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.

Follow up on deliveries and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with project schedules and specifications.

Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.

Assist in negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers.

Support inventory monitoring and material tracking activities.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Procurement Senior Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.

Willing to travel to project sites if required.
