Job summary

MBC Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer (Site/Construction) to support ongoing landed housing projects. You will be the technical bridge between office management, consultants, and ground execution to ensure milestones are met safely and within budget.

We require 3–5 years of on-site housing experience, a civil/MEP background, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project. This is a full-time, on-site role offering RM 4,500–RM 7,500 per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience on active construction, housing or infrastructure sites.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and understand local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors.
• Technical Submittals & Documentation: RFIs, shop drawings, material submittals, ITPs.
• Schedule & Progress Tracking: monitor progress and propose recovery plans.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: conduct site walks and enforce EHS compliance.
• Valuation & As-Built Records: assist with subcontractor claim measurements and redline drawings.

Project Engineer (Site / Construction)

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Salary Range: RM 4,500 - RM 7,500 per month

Work Experience: 3 – 5 years minimum

About the Role

We are expanding our engineering team and looking for a driven, detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our on-site team for ongoing landed housing projects.

In this role, you will be the core technical bridge between office management, consultants, and ground execution. You will ensure project milestones are met safely, within budget, and strictly according to technical specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination: Manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure structural/civil/MEP works comply with approved technical drawings and specifications.

Technical Submittals & Documentation: Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, material submittals, and inspection test plans (ITPs).

Schedule & Progress Tracking: Monitor physical progress against the master program (P6 / MS Project), flagging delays early and suggesting recovery plans.

Quality & Safety Assurance: Perform routine site walks, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when needed, and enforce site EHS/OSHA compliance.

Valuation & As-Built Records: Assist in verifying subcontractor claim measurements and maintain up-to-date redline/as-built drawings for final handover.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience on active construction, infrastructure, or industrial sites.

Technical Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office / MS Project.

Knowledge of BIM / Revit / Procore / Primavera P6 is a strong advantage.

Site Knowledge: Strong ability to read engineering schematics, interpret structural/architectural blueprints, and understand local building codes.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving mindset, firm site communication, and willingness to be hands-on in field conditions.
