Job summary

EVE ENERGY MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking a Project Lifecycle Quality Manager to oversee quality planning, risk reduction, and mass production reviews across battery projects. You will drive cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities include Safe Launch analysis, strict control of raw materials and processes, and ongoing improvement of first-batch deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above; Malaysian citizenship.
• 5+ years in project/process or after-sales quality management, or 3+ years in lithium battery quality management; automotive background preferred.
• Experience with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001, and QC080000 standards.
• Familiarity with VDA 6.3, IATF16949 and the five quality manuals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preliminary quality planning, transition reviews, and mass production reviews to identify risk reduction.
• Supervise sample cell shipments and ensure samples meet customer testing requirements; record failures and drive corrective actions.
• Lead analysis and improvement of first-batch delivery quality; compile lessons learned.
• Coordinate with customers to align on quality requirements and ensure internal shipments meet them.
• Review customer contracts, orders, and quality clauses; organize warranty agreement reviews and sign-off.

Job description

Project Lifecycle Quality Management

• Responsible for/participate in preliminary quality planning, transition reviews, and mass production reviews during the project process, identifying and promoting risk reduction or elimination
• Supervise sample cell shipments and participate in shipment reviews to ensure samples meet customer testing requirements, record sample test failure information, and drive internal rectification and closure
• Follow up on small-batch and first-batch customer deliveries, leading internal analysis and improvement of quality issues in the first batch of deliveries, and compiling lessons learned.

Safe Launch

• Analyze lessons learned from past production processes and customer complaints related to similar products
• Develop a checklist of items to tighten control over raw materials, production processes, and shipments
• Drive the resolution and closure of S/A-level issues, elevate to senior management, and provide early warning of S/A-level issues and difficulties in their resolution
• Manage evidence and reports on Safe Launch issue rectification, and review the effectiveness of issue rectification.

Customer Standard Alignment

• Coordinate and align with customer-specific quality requirements, promote internal and external alignment and documentation, and ensure internal shipments meet customer requirements
• Participate in customer visits and pre-sales technical discussions, and ensure the quality of the materials provided for quality issues
• Participate in the review of customer contracts, orders, technical agreements, framework agreements, etc., and be responsible for reviewing quality clauses
• Organize the review of customer warranty agreements and produce signed versions of the warranty agreements.

Bachelor's degree or above, Malaysian citizenship

5+ years of experience in project, process, or after-sales quality management, or 3+ years of experience in lithium battery-related quality management; automotive industry background preferred

Experience with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001, and QC080000 systems

Familiarity with VDA 6.3, IATF16949, and the five quality manuals
