Job summary

Tenpower Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to oversee process quality management within our manufacturing site in Malaysia.

You will lead PQE activities, drive 8D problem solving, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Management and has at least two years of experience in a related field,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related fields.
• 2 years or above experience in process quality management; experience in automotive, lithium battery, or electronics industries is preferred.
• Familiar with PQC quality management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills, stress tolerance, and systematic management capability.
• Familiar with quality abnormality analysis tools and methodologies such as Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why Analysis, and 8D.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to production quality abnormalities and drive root cause analysis through 8D.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and implement corrective actions.
• Establish and improve IPQC inspection standards and plans; monitor execution to ensure quality.
• Drive quality improvement projects to reduce defects and improve process stability.
• Oversee PQE team management: manpower planning, training, performance, capability enhancement.
• Analyze quality data and prepare reports with improvement measures for recurring issues.

Respond promptly to production quality abnormalities (e.g., coating defects, battery scratches, defective electronic components, etc.), coordinate with relevant departments, complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions through the 8D methodology.

Manage quality throughout the production process, establish and improve IPQC inspection standards and inspection plans, monitor inspection execution, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Drive quality improvement projects (e.g., reducing defect rates, improving process stability), utilizing methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, etc., to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.

Oversee daily PQE team management, including manpower planning, skills training, performance assessment, and capability enhancement; coordinate cross-departmental collaboration to resolve quality issues.

Analyze quality data, prepare quality reports, and propose improvement measures for recurring quality issues to continuously improve the overall quality level.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related fields.

2 years or above experience in process quality management; experience in automotive, lithium battery, or electronics industries is preferred. (Candidates with strong overall capabilities may be considered regardless of industry background.)

Familiar with PQC quality management skills.
