Job summary

IKD (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD invites a senior Quality Assurance Manager to drive the Customer Quality Management System (QMS) development and its deployment within the EPROS platform at a key customer factory. You will maintain core processes, standard forms, and document successful case studies.

Responsibilities include leading QMS module implementation, site audits, digital transformation of quality management in MES/ERP, data reporting, and PPAP activities for new products, while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related automotive/mechanical fields.

• 5+ years in die-casting quality management; at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Familiarity with quality management system standards and mastery of various quality management tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of customer quality management requirements; proficiency in using Microsoft Office; familiarity with measuring instruments and Minitab (preferred).
• Possession of internal audit certification (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA6.3, VDA6.5, etc.).
• Strong ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and resolve issues.
• Excellent self-learning and adaptability skills; high level of stress tolerance.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Project-driven mindset and efficient execution capabilities to effectively drive the implementation of various initiatives.

• Lead the implementation of the Customer Quality Management System module within the EPROS system for a specific strategic customer's factory.
• Lead specialized internal audits at the factory, organize the development of improvement measures, and regularly publish audit findings.
• Lead the advancement of digital transformation initiatives for quality management at the site-based factory.
• Be responsible for the development and operation of preliminary quality reporting systems for the digital transformation initiative at the site-based factory.
• Be responsible for tracking and transferring quality-related data generated as part of the digital transformation initiative at the site-based factory.
• Support quality management activities within strategic project quotations; conduct quality risk assessments for RFQ and PO projects.
• Support quality management activities throughout the strategic project development lifecycle; ensure training and PFMEA/Control Plans/Work Instructions reviews; develop PPK/CPK/MSA plans.
• Lead PPAP audits for new products and oversee mass production QA activities.

Job description

Responsibility 1: Assist the System Team in developing Customer Quality Management System process standards;

1) Collaborate with the System Team to finalize the Customer Quality Management System process standards;

2) Collaborate with the System Team to complete the standardized forms for the Customer Quality Management System standards.

Responsibility 2: Lead the implementation of a Quality Management System module within the EPROS system for a specific strategic customer's factory;

1) Lead the development of the Customer Quality Management System module within the EPROS system – e.g., maintaining the eight major processes and standardized forms for Customer S, documenting successful case studies, and replicating these practices across other factories;

Responsibility 3: Lead specialized internal audits at the factory, organize the development of improvement measures by the factory, and regularly publish audit findings;

1) Building upon existing system implementation efforts, lead the advancement of digital transformation initiatives for quality management within the MES and ERP systems at the site-based factory;

Responsibility 5: Be responsible for the development and operation of preliminary quality reporting systems for the digital transformation initiative at the site-based factory;

1) Lead the collection of quality-related data from the digital MES and ERP systems at the site-based factory, streamline the logic behind quality reporting systems, and oversee the development of these reporting systems and the underlying management systems;

Responsibility 6: Be responsible for tracking and transferring quality-related data generated as part of the digital transformation initiative at the site-based factory;

1) Lead the testing, acceptance, and refinement of quality-related information reporting data, and then transfer this data to the factory's Quality Department.

Responsibility 7: Support quality management activities within strategic project quotations;

1) Conduct quality risk assessments for RFQ and PO projects, identify quality risk points and corresponding control measures; coordinate with measurement engineers to evaluate measurement fixtures, develop solutions for measurement-related issues, and oversee their implementation; compile and promote the adoption of quality standards and best practice cases;

Responsibility 8: Support quality management activities throughout the strategic project development lifecycle;

1) facilitate process audits and problem resolution for new projects, and document Lessons Learned; oversee product quality management during the sample phase; propose rationalization proposals for measuring tools and error-proofing measures; approve temporary or permanent release of dimensional tolerances; participate in the joint review of PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions; ensure that training is provided to personnel before they are deployed to the production line; develop PPK, CPK, and MSA plans and monitor their implementation; Responsibility 9: Support strategic projects in the PPAP mass production phase;

1) lead PPAP audits for new products to ensure that PPAP submissions meet regulatory requirements and mitigate mass production risks; supervise and manage quality control activities during the in-factory production of new product SOPs within three months;

Job Qualifications:

1) Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or other fields related to the automotive or mechanical industries;

2) Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Malay as working languages;

3) 5+ years of relevant quality management experience in the die-casting industry and at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role;

4) Familiarity with quality management system standards and mastery of various quality management tools and methodologies;

5) Understanding of customer quality management requirements; proficiency in using Microsoft Office; familiarity with the application of measuring instruments and Minitab operations (preferred);

6) Possession of internal audit certification (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA6.3, VDA6.5, etc.);
