AlphaESS Malaysia is seeking a quality management professional to establish and maintain QMS across manufacturing and supplier operations. You will lead quality planning, inspection execution and CAPA, collaborating with R&D and technical teams to ensure product quality.

You will develop SIPs/CPs, monitor processes, and drive supplier audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership and Mandarin proficiency are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement end-to-end quality control mechanisms for materials and finished goods.
• Ensure production capabilities meet design specs in-house and with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain SIPs and CPs.
• Monitor daily processes and evaluate quality against control plans.
• Lead cross-functional investigations into incoming, in-process, and shipment quality issues.
• Prepare 8D reports and present to stakeholders and after-sales teams.
• Support QMS audits to ensure compliance.
• Onboard suppliers with capability risk assessments and on-site audits.

Job description

This role involves establishing and maintaining quality management systems, leading quality planning and inspection execution, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier operations. You will collaborate with R&D, technical teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure product quality, investigate quality issues, and implement corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with R&D to define and implement end-to-end quality control mechanisms, including raw material and finished product inspection standards and equipment parameter specifications

Ensure in-house and supplier production capabilities consistently meet product design specifications

Develop and maintain Standard Inspection Procedures (SIP) and Control Plans (CP)

Monitor daily production processes and conduct quality evaluations against control plans

Partner with R&D and Technical teams on sample inspection and verification during critical prototyping stages

Lead cross-functional teams to investigate incoming material, in-process, and shipment quality issues

Analyze root causes using 5Why, 8D, and QC 7 Tools and formulate effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Compile and present structured 8D reports to internal stakeholders and after-sales teams

Support internal and external QMS audits to ensure regulatory and standard compliance

Partner with Supply Chain Management on new supplier onboarding, including capability assessments, risk evaluations, and on-site audits.

Qualification Requirement:

At least advanced/higher/graduate diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field or equivalent.

At least more than 3 years above working experience in the related field and more than 2 years of experience in the same position in related industry.

Self-driven and motivated, well organized, could prioritize tasks and excellent problem-solving skills.

Proactive and a team player with strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills

Proficient in English, Mandarin, Malaysia, listening, speaking, reading and writing (Priority Mandarin speaker as it will need to interact with the counterpart from China team.)

Proficient in using PPT, word, excel and other office software, and can effectively assist in work development

Be able to skillfully use Minitab software, 8D, QCC, QIT, Six Sigma and other quality tools in actual projects

Have systematic response strategies and capabilities for raising product issues

The report is neat, the data analysis is systematic, the conclusions are clear and logical.

Able to use APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and other tools to complete preliminary analysis of experiments

Familiar with the relevant knowledge of ISO9001, quality management systems implementation and setup experiences will be the priority.
