Project Manager / Site Supervisor / Site Manager

About the role

IDP Design Practice SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Site Supervisor / Site Manager to join our dynamic construction team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and delivering our construction projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of site operations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

Overseeing daily site operations and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications and timelines

Managing site teams, including coordination of labour, equipment and materials to optimise productivity and efficiency

Monitoring project progress and maintaining detailed records of site activities, including daily reports and documentation

Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration

Implementing and enforcing health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site

Conducting quality inspections and ensuring all work meets required standards and contractual obligations

Managing project budgets, controlling costs and reporting on financial performance

Identifying and resolving site issues, delays and disputes in a timely and professional manner

Preparing and submitting progress reports, claims and documentation to project stakeholders

Ensuring compliance with local regulations, building codes and industry best practices

What we're looking for

Minimum 4-8 years of experience in construction project management or site supervision

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations in Malaysia

Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale construction projects from inception to completion

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing diverse site teams

Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings

Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office applications

Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal

Relevant professional qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems is advantageous
