About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join 7DSM Projects Sdn Bhd in Perai, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and successful completion of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site activities, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with various teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This position is integral to our project success and directly impacts our reputation for quality workmanship and professional service delivery.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all site operations, including labour, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution

Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards

Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on site, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections

Manage site documentation including daily reports, timesheets, material logs, and progress records

Liaise between the project management team, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication

Identify potential risks and issues on site and implement corrective actions promptly

Maintain site discipline and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Train and mentor site workers, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets required standards

Manage site resources effectively and report on material wastage or inefficiencies

What we're looking for

A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction site supervision or a similar supervisory role

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations relevant to the Malaysian construction industry

Proven experience in managing multiple trades and coordinating between different teams on site

Excellent understanding of health and safety standards and demonstrated commitment to maintaining safe working practices

Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate site teams

Problem-solving ability and experience in managing site conflicts or challenges

Familiarity with construction project management software and basic computer literacy

Possession of relevant certifications such as CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) registration, OSHA certification, or equivalent qualifications is highly desirable

Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Penang is advantageous
