Wangsa Holdings Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from inception to completion at our head office. This full-time role ensures delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards across our Malaysia portfolio.

You will lead planning, budgeting, stakeholder coordination and site safety while driving operational excellence through all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' PM experience in construction.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules and QA.
• Familiarity with BIM or construction tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate all construction project activities to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures and control costs.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders for alignment.
• Monitor progress against timelines and KPIs; implement corrective actions.
• Oversee site safety compliance and ensure health and safety standards.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, permits, drawings and specs.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; implement solutions.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure design specs are met.
• Prepare project reports and provide updates to senior management and clients.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at our head office in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception through to completion. As Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position is essential to our continued success and growth, as you will be at the forefront of managing our portfolio of construction initiatives and driving operational excellence across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating all aspects of construction projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Developing and managing project budgets, tracking expenditure and controlling costs to maximise profitability
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment
• Monitoring project progress against timelines and key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Overseeing site safety compliance and ensuring all work meets relevant health and safety regulations and company standards
• Managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and technical specifications
• Supervising and coordinating work activities of subcontractors and site teams
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, implementing solutions to address potential issues
• Conducting quality inspections and ensuring adherence to design specifications and construction standards
• Preparing project reports and providing regular updates to senior management and clients

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar project management role within the construction industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects of varying complexity and scale from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure
• Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 or equivalent would be advantageous
• Experience with budget management, cost control and financial reporting
• Knowledge of building information modelling (BIM) and construction technology would be beneficial
