About the role

M&M PROJECT BUILDER SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from inception through completion. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru District, Johor. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is critical to the success of our organisation and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our project outcomes and business growth.

Key responsibilities

Plan, initiate, and oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through final completion and handover

Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives

Monitor project progress and performance against established timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as necessary

Manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all stakeholders

Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, and safety regulations

Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and technical drawings

Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to minimise delays and cost overruns

Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle

Prepare and present regular project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics to senior management and clients

Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met on site, promoting a culture of safety among all personnel

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry

Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices

Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications

Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and direct diverse teams

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Malay

Demonstrated ability to analyse data, solve problems, and make informed decisions under pressure

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent qualifications are advantageous

Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management is preferred
