Job summary

JCCI Construction sdn bhd seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver construction projects across the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan. You will supervise site teams, coordinate with architects, consultants, clients and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and contract compliance on every phase.

You will read technical drawings, update the work programme, and drive day-to-day construction activities to meet project milestones and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• At least an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree/Post‑Graduate/Professional Degree in Civil Engineering/Engineering/Architectural/Project Management or equivalent.
• Experience in managing housing development projects is advantageous.
• Proven track record of completing projects on schedule, within budget and meeting quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team and oversee on-site activities to follow the work programme.
• Coordinate with Architect, consultants, clients and subcontractors on technical submissions and shop drawings.
• Review method statements, inspection and testing requirements; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct weekly site meetings and update the work programme; solve on-site issues promptly.
• Ensure workmanship quality, material costing and construction processes meet approved standards.

We are looking for an experience, committed and dedicated Project Manager to handle our projects in the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan. You will be mainly responsible for managing, implementing and leading projects progress against the project contract period. Also be the leader on site in coordinating all coordinating works with Architect, consultants, clients and all sub-contractors.

What is your main role in this position?

You must be able to work closely with the project team, including architect, consultants, client’s rep and subcontractors, to ensure work planned in work programme are followed and meets all authority and contract requirements.

You must be able to read technical and architectural drawings to ensure all construction work done adheres to approved drawings. As the leader, you also oversee the quality of workmanship, costing of materials, and correct construction processes are done to meet the approved standards.

You will lead the project team and hands on in updating work programme, weekly site meetings with consultants, sub contractors and managing day-to-day construction activities. This includes problem-solving on-site on any issues that may arise, ensuring efficient work on site, and facilitating collaboration among the project team and subcontractors.

You must be able to review and coordinate technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and testing requirements.

You will be responsible in ensuring all site safety measures are in place, health regulations are followed and environmental requirements are met.

You must be positive thinking, have good interpersonal skills, able to multi tasks and ability to manage sub ordinates and workers well to achieve the common goal. Always on the ground during critical progress of the construction period and very hands on in each aspect of the construction phase to ensure completion of project as per contract period.

Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.

What do we need from you?

Possess at least an Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate/Professional Degree in Civil Engineering/Engineering /Architectural/Project Management or equivalent.

Experience in managing previous projects especially housing development as project manager will be advantageous.

Proven past track record in completing projects according to contract schedule, budget, and achieving quality requirements.

Possess at least 5 years of relevant working experience.

Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage but not compulsory.

Experienced with MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD etc.
