Job summary

Setia Awan seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager in diverse property development and construction tasks in Kuala Lumpur. You will help secure approvals, coordinate planning, review designs, and manage contractors to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of experience with property developer and consultant.
• Exposure to industrial/high-rise/landed properties preferred.
• Experience delivering at least one project from preplanning to post-construction is an advantage.
• AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office familiarity is added advantage.
• ISO 9001 planning & implementation and Qlassic exposure preferred.
• Able to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager to obtain approvals from authorities and utilities providers.
• Assist planning and implementation of construction and property development activities.
• Assist in planning, design, managing, monitoring, and controlling from pre-development to post-development to meet quality, cost and time.
• Review design inputs from architectural, M&E, C&S, ID to align with stakeholders.
• Assist in managing contractors and suppliers to keep construction ahead of schedule.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure development including mockups and fit-out is ready for sales launch.
• Assist to ensure project progresses smoothly within budget and schedule.
• Implement policies and procedures in the Quality Management System.

About the Role:

The role involves assisting the Project Manager in various aspects of property development and construction, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager to obtain approval from the relevant authorities (inclusive but not limited to local council approvals such as Development Order, Building Plan, Infrastructure plans etc., utilities services providers such as TNB, AIS, IWK, TM etc., and strata related matters (for stratified developments)).
• Assist the overall planning and implementation of construction and property development activities.
• Assist Project Manager in all matters pertaining to planning, design, managing, monitoring, and controlling from pre-development stage to post-development stage to meet the approved standard on quality, cost and time.
• Assist to review on design from all aspects such as architectural, M&E, C&S, ID, which the design input is to be aligned to the company’s stakeholders interest.
• Assist Project Manager to manage the appointed contractors and suppliers to ensure the construction progress is ahead of schedule.
• Attend site meetings and maintain close and effective liaison with external parties (authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers etc) involved in property development and construction.
• Ensure that development of projects, including mockups and fit-out works be in time for sales launch.
• Assist the Project Manager to ensure that project development progresses smoothly and is completed within work schedule and quality standards of budget.
• Implement all related policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company’s Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 6 years of working experience with property developer and consultant.
• Preferably candidates with exposure in managing construction of industrial, high-rise buildings and landed properties.
• Experience in delivered of at least one project successfully from pre-planning stage to post-construction stage will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office is an added advantage.
• Preferably candidates with exposure to ISO 9001 planning & implementation and Qlassic.
• Able to work independently and efficiently.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is required to facilitate effective communication with our international investors and stakeholders.
• Willing to travel to Tanjung Malim sites.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in managing construction projects.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
