Job summary

Setia Awan is seeking a skilled civil/architectural professional to support project planning, approvals, and site execution for mixed developments in Malaysia. The role focuses on coordinating with authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure schedules and quality align with project goals.

You will review designs, assist in managing design inputs, and help ensure timely progress from pre-planning through post-construction, including mockups and fit-out activities for sales launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of working experience with property developers and consultants.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office.
• Exposure to ISO 9001 planning & implementation and QLASSIC is preferred.
• Mandarin language proficiency is required.
• Willing to travel to Tanjung Malim sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager to obtain approvals from authorities and utilities providers.
• Assist planning and implementation of construction and property development activities.
• Assist to manage design, planning, monitoring from pre- to post-development to meet quality, cost and time standards.
• Review design inputs from architectural, M&E, C&S, ID to align with stakeholders’ interests.
• Assist Project Manager to manage contractors and suppliers to keep progress ahead of schedule.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure timely development of projects including mockups and fit-out for sales launch.
• Implement policies and procedures per the Company’s Quality Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Superiors.

Job description

• Assist Project Manager to obtain approval from the relevant authorities (inclusive but not limited to local council approvals such as Development Order, Building Plan, Infrastructure plans etc., utilities services providers such as TNB, AIS, IWK, TM etc., and strata related matters (for stratified developments)).
• Assist the overall planning and implementation of construction and property development activities.
• Assist Project Manager in all matters pertaining to planning, design, managing, monitoring, and controlling from pre-development stage to post-development stage to meet the approved standard on quality, cost and time.
• Assist to review on design from all aspects such as architectural, M&E, C&S, ID, which the design input is to be aligned to the company’s stakeholders interest.
• Assist Project Manager to manage the appointed contractors and suppliers to ensure the construction progress is ahead of schedule.
• Attend site meetings and maintain close and effective liaison with external parties (authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers etc) involved in property development and construction.
• Ensure that development of projects, including mockups and fit-out works be in time for sales launch.
• Implement all related policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company’s Quality Management System.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Superiors.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 6 years of working experience with property developer and consultant.
• Preferably candidates with exposure in managing construction of industrial , high-rise buildings and landed properties.
• Experience in delivered of at least one project successfully from pre-planning stage to post-construction stage will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office is an added advantage.
• Preferably candidates with exposure to ISO 9001 planning & implementation and QLASSIC.
• Able to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin.

• Willing to travel to Tanjung Malim sites.
